I just updated my antenna situation based on what I've come to learn: height matters!
This is by far the single best upgrade I've done to my cellular Internet.
Likely depends on the rig and size of rig. I ran diesel when it was below 30 or for showers. Also if you're on diesel, you won't have to listen to the convectors as long.

WRT keeping the tank full, I used a 5 gallon can and fuel pump to occasionally put 5 gallons into the tank so I wouldn’t have to break camp and go fill up somewhere.

For what it’s worth I stayed in cold temps for a couple of months and I used maybe 20-30 gal for that entire stay. I checked my fuel level using the silverleaf display By the driver every so often. You have to turn the ignition on (not acc, but no need to start engine) so it would refresh the...
If it operated as well as Tesla's, I'd be all for it. I can only pray OnGuard gets better or they switch vendors. FWIW I have almost 17k on my NADP odometer now.
I drove the Tesla for 3 years with it and it was nearly perfect (and the burps were very minor).
I have false activations on my NADP. It’s terrifying and stuff goes flying. I lay rubber on the ground. There was nothing in front of me. No bridges no leaves no birds no cars. Straight highway. Completely bogus.
Freight liner told me there’s a recall on mine to fix this issue.
I find it...
It's my work-provided laptop and our IT department recently blessed it ... so far so good ... But yeah, I waited until others had already upgraded and tried everything out.
TLDR; WOW!!!!!
My cellular setup consists of a MoFi 4500 with directional antennas (Proxicast). In general, I've had to use them about 50% of the locations I've been at to get the speeds I need (at LEAST 8 down and 5 up; preferably 12 down 8 up). Usually I deploy the antenna to improve upload...
For what it's worth, the model that came in my NADP weighs 120 pounds. Hrm .. I take that back. I see conflicting information. Might be 120 pounds shipping, 65 actual. 120 seemed too heavy.
Yes and there's lock and REALLY lock. You have to push and hold lock for a while until it beeps and you hear the mechanism engage. At that point, you can't open the drawer without considerable force.
This is one of the reasons that the very last thing I do before I leave is disconnect from...
I love mine. It's efficient on water. I don't know if I would have made effective use of the extra storage space I'd otherwise have, and I'd curse every time I had to do the dishes (which would inevitably pile up and make using the kitchen annoying). Between this and the W&D, the ONLY thing I...
The dedicated accounts is a good idea. I just opened a second account with my bank and will use that. I just applied for the program. Wish I'd done this before I traveled coast-to-coast!
Wow, thanks! A lot to digest. I have a few free days now that I'm full of Turkey LOL.
And you can bet I'll follow up with details and a new video to replace my old one which covers my Internet setup.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm toying around with reviving this and getting it really going ... so I turned it into a brand account etc etc ...

I'm trying to boil down to "the latest and greatest" ... hard to keep up with the observations on the modems, routers, and antennas ... Assume a very generous budget and the need for Internet to always work "no matter what" .... What do I get? Assume Verizon, ATT, and TMobile SIMs. Also want...
One of my newly-formed habits is to update the 770 a day or two prior to departure ... usually right before I enter the trip plan into the 770. I like to get the trip entered into the 770 ahead of time so I can review it ... and it's a good time to do the updates. Almost always an update of...
