PAPER PLATE MOISTURE DEFLECTION LICENSE AGREEMENT (PPMDLA)​

This Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between:

Newmar Corporation

1. Invention Description​

The invention, hereafter referred to as “The Paper Plate Moisture Deflector™”, consists of one (1) disposable paper plate strategically positioned to intercept microwave exhaust moisture before it repeatedly assaults high-end cabinetry.

This solution is:

• Lightweight
• Cost-effective
• Shockingly effective
• Available at Walmart in bulk

2. Purpose​

The purpose of this Agreement is to grant Newmar Corporation permission to study, admire, laugh at, and potentially adopt this revolutionary moisture-management technology for future product development—after signing this Agreement and admitting, at least internally, that this might have been preventable.

3. License Grant​

Upon receipt of a signed copy of this Agreement via U.S. Mail (yes, actual mail), the Inventor grants Newmar Corporation a non-exclusive, royalty-free, eye-rolling-permitted license to use, replicate, adapt, or ignore this invention in future motorhome designs.

4. Limitations​

This license does not include:

• Retroactive fixes to existing coaches
• An apology (that’s a separate document)
• The right to pretend this was the plan all along

5. Warranty Disclaimer​

The Inventor makes no guarantees regarding:

• Cabinet longevity
• Designer pride
• The continued availability of paper plates during supply-chain disruptions

6. Governing Law​

This Agreement shall be governed by the Common Sense Doctrine, currently missing from certain areas of RV design.

**Paper Plate Moisture Deflector™​

Installation Instructions (Field Tested)**

Required Tools & Materials

• One (1) standard paper plate
• One (1) piece of tape
  • Painter’s tape preferred
  • Duct tape acceptable
  • Engineering drawings optional

Installation Steps​

1. Identify the Threat
   Locate the cabinet directly above the microwave exhaust vent. This is the area being repeatedly misted by steam.
2. Prepare the Deflector
   Remove one paper plate from its packaging. Orientation of the plate (front, back, upside down) has been proven irrelevant.
3. Position the Plate
   Hold the paper plate flat against the cabinet face, centered over the microwave exhaust path.
4. Secure the Assembly
   Apply one piece of tape across the top edge of the plate, attaching it to the cabinet.
   Additional tape may be used for “rough road conditions” or peace of mind.
5. Verify Operation
   Run the microwave. Observe steam contacting the plate instead of the cabinetry.
   Nod quietly in satisfaction.

Maintenance​

• Replace paper plate as needed when it becomes:
  • Damp
  • Discolored
  • Emotionally exhausted
