Hello,
We have a Forest River Salem 32' with a 15000 air conditioner.
What size and/type inverter do we need to have to run it? Any advice is welcome.

Probably at least a 4000W inverter and a huge bank of batteries to power it for any amount of time. And, you won’t be able to run any other electric appliances at the same time.

A 15K AC can pull up to 3600W on startup and will require 1800-2000W when running. Factor in line loss and inverter efficiency and you will be at least at 4000W just to run the AC. When you pull that much power from 12VDC batteries and convert (invert) it to 120VAC, it will take a lot of battery capacity to do it for very long.

You will probably need another 32' trailer to carry the necessary batteries to run one AC for a few minutes.
