Question 2002 Sportscoach bedroom slide malfunction

I have a 40 foot 2002 Sportscoach motor home. All of a sudden the bedroom slide won't move in or out. I have determined that the motor is working and that it is a possibility that the gearbox is malfunctioning. (maybe a shear pin problem). Checking to see if anyone has encountered something like this, and what the solution is.

If the motor is moving and the slide is not it sounds like it is off track. It can be gear stripped out (due to wear). I have not done slide repair on my own. I have used mobile tech or repair shop.

I have a 2007 Sports Coach Encore and I have had the shear pin come out on my kitchen slide so I would start there.
