2002 VW Vista want to upgrade roof ac- any sugestions

Hello out there, i have a 2002 VW Vista rv and i was thinking about upgrading the roof ac, I have to turn generator on to use ac is there an upgrade with a heat pump i can install?

Are you saying that the AC will not run off of shore power? Or are you saying it won't run off of batteries? Two very different answers.

no sorry, it runs fine but i have to plug it into generator or 120vt home outlet for it to run.

was wondering if there's an upgrade version with heatpump that runs on 12volt and 120vt. not sure or inverter version.

No 12 volt roof top units that I am aware of. There are some guys with significant solar setups and large lithium battery banks with a beefy inverter that can get a limited number hours of AC run time from their batteries.
