I have a 2004 Dutchman Colorado 28BH. Single slide on driver side living room area.
My slide switch melted and I have replaced the pig tail and switch. When I try to connect the switch I get a strong arch. No fuse has blown wiring is hot.
I have searched high and low for a relay and a fuse and cannot find either. I have looked in every compartment, cabinet, under sink, under refrigerator, heater on and on no luck. Any one have an idea. It would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the switch in the on position when you are hooking up the wire? If it is on when you attach the power lead you will get an arc. I would check the switch for on and off and then also check to make switch the new switch is not bad. You may have to pull fuses individually to determine which fuse is the controller for the slide. This fuse may be included in the chassis fuse box. Good Luck, keep us posted on what you find.
