I am ready to buy a new set of tires (12 years old). does anyone have a good recommendation for a really good riding tire? The ones that are on it now are 235/75/r22.5. 14 ply

You need to verify that is the OEM tire size and replace with the correct size. As for brand, most people opt for either Michelin or Toyo.

You need to confirm the width or your rims. If they are 6.75 you are stuck with the 235 wide tires. If you have 7.5 or better 8.25 width you can go to a 255/70-22.5. Just a tad taller and wider. Tiis is also a common readily available size and with the increased capacity may allow to operate at a lower pressure softening the ride.
