Can anyone supply me with a photo of the hood stay, how it is mounted & operates please, a good friend has just purchased a Pursuit but the dealer (Woody's Calgary) wasn't able to replace this missing item!!!
Also the retractable entry step only retracts when the ignition is turned on (it extends when door is opened but does not go back when it is closed, ign. off) is this the correct operation?

There is often a switch which will let the step stay out when the door is closed, in one position, and allows the step to retract when the door is closed, in the other position.

Hi AbdRahim, yes mine has that but can't find one, well there is a switch next to the boot locker light switch we don't know what or if it works. Maybe a wire has come off it. I don't know what make the step is yet so as to find a wiring diagram.

Try the switch. See what it does

It didn't do anything that we could see, certainly didn't do anything with the step operation. When given the walk through by dealer, (who didn't know what the switch did!) the engine was running so the step went in / out with the door opening / closing.

Could that switch be a master light switch for the baggage compartments?
