2025 Coachman Freedom Express Ultra Lite 192RBS refrigerator question?

Greetings fellow Coachman RVers!!! I have just purchased a 2025 Coachman Freedom Express Ultra Lite 192RBS. The freezer compartment is on top but many videos I've seen show the freezer compartment on the bottom. Was this a mid year or simple design change with different year models? Thanks you.

The best way to figure this out is by the make and model of the refrigerator.

I think they put in what ever they get from suppliers. It wouldn't surprise me that it is different

It's a Magic chef 12 volt DC Refrigerator. Model MCDCR10DSG. Still trying out different settings to get the refrigerator section down to 35-38 degrees....won't do it. The freezer section I can get down to about 8 degrees, that' is it. The booklet in the paperwork pouch is so vague it isn't clear. What is everyone else doing here in the south, Florida.

After a quick search it appears that is a common issue with the fridge.

First off in the process of elimination I'd check that the wire from the batterie(s) to the refrigerator is 10 gauge for a short run or 8 for a long run. Anything smaller and the unit is straining. Next check that you have the proper ventilation. Some folks install small 12v cooling fans in the rear.

GOOD morning and MANY thanks for the reply. We just picked up our camper from the RV dealership two days ago and they cut the holes/slots in the refrigerator section. The only reason I DID NOT do it myself was I didn't want one of their technicians to say "You cut them wrong and it voided the warranty." The freezer is a -2.2 degrees F and the refrigerator is at 36.8 degrees F. The refrigerator temperature varies depending on where I point the laser thermometer. We haven't even been on our first trip yet.....so.....I guess time will tell.
