A friend of mine is going through the process of ordering a new DSDP or MADP. All I can say is wow. Prices have gone up. If you want the Onyx package, get the wallet out.

and $9k for the FPU - seemed marginal at $4k. Thats just nuts but you need it to ensure you don’t drive off with a dozen or more defects.

The real eye-opener for me was having it be CA-compliant for an extra 12,800.

Edit: I want to avoid turning this into bashing Newmar, as I almost had a DS on order at one point. The price is the price, and hopefully, everyone can negotiate a great deal and be happy campers. To @Rich W.'s point, it would seem an FPU is a must.

Between that and sales tax you could buy a lot in Oregon, register it there, pay neither, and have something to show for the expense.
