2025 F250 Lariat FX4 - will not track behind the motorhome

I have a friend who owns a 2023 DS 4369 and has an issue towing a 2025 F250 Lariat FX4. when making a hard right turn out of his driveway, the truck’s front wheels turn left (as the rear of the motorhome swings) but do not straighten back to follow the motorhome as it completes the right turn. He has it in neutral tow per the manual, and lane keeping is off, and truck is in accessory mode Has anyone else had this problem.

He is not the only one who has had that issue. Low traction surfaces can be the problem. But it sounds more like the tail swing out is the biggest issue.

People do not realize the sideways motions a motorhome applies to a vehicle being towed 4 wheels down. Some vehicles will have limitations for following the towing vehicle. These heavy trucks are poor choices as toads and ca get suspension damage, damage towing equipment and hitches; I have witnessed a motorhome partly loose the hitch and suffer significant chassis damage towing a 2500 GM pick-up through a construction zone. As for the driveway exit, I would suggest final hook up on the street.

My 2022 F250 has thousands of miles behind my DS. I do not leave it in ACC mode.
Why is he leaving it in ACC mode?

Back in 2003 I delivered a S-10 to My brother. I did it with a tow bar. On a cloverleaf with dew on the road I wound up in the medium when the truck steering didn't have enough traction to follow.

That's the last time the process sounded convenient to me.

Choosing a trailer seems self evident to me.

Just returned from over 3000 miles driven. I backed up multiple times, 5 times when idiots blocked me and went away from their vehicles. One campground had me pull up to my site and I had to back up over 300 ft to get turned. When I pulled up to the site, the guy in the next site over pulled up a chair and hollered, Its not happening! He was right.
