I'm doubtful I'm going to get away for a winter excursion so my next departure for a longer trip will likely be in the spring or summer. My desire this year, for 2025, is to finally make it to Glacier NP. I'd like to then head south to Colorado, Utah, Arizona and enjoy some Midwest time, hopefully more boondocking to test out the new power plant. The alternate option is Montana to the PNW. I really miss living in WA in my Air Force days and love the Cascade's and want to get back and enjoy that part of the country.

What are your desires for the year ahead?

We're leaving Jan 3rd for Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks to do some winter photography. We will be gone for less than a month.

Our summer trip begins with the NKK rally in Washington DC in April and then the Finger Lakes region of NY, PA Amish area, etc, and then it gets crazy. Return home in June for medical and maybe knee replacement, yes, I've been kicking the can down the road. We hope to go to the Hoots Rally in late September in Georgia.

Mostly, we're not sure what we're doing.

You could turn your wish into a very nice trip. Starting from the east slope of Colorado then head north to do the Tetons in Wyoming and Yellowstone. From there over to Glacier. No large vehicles on the Highway to the Sun Road (and it is usually closed until late June or early July) but from St. Mary you can go south and around to Columbia Falls and then there are numerous routes to get to Omak where highway 20 aka The North Cascade Highway starts. (It is doable with a big rig towing. There are numerous pull outs to let faster traffic pass). Once you get to the coast, take the Port Townsend ferry over to the Olympics and then go south on highway 101. From the Portland area you can then head inland to Salt Lake and then south to Utah. I've been to Utah many times but I could till spend another month there and still not see it all. Next is Arizona and you will have completed a very scenic loop. I would need 4 or 5 months to do it though. There is just so much to see.

Our plan is to get from Alberta to the Blue Ridge Parkway arriving in early October. Then do some Bourbon tasting in Kentucky and Tennessee. From there to Pensacola and Dauphin Island. Eventually head west to meet up with daughter one and grandchildren in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. From there slowly make our way back to Alberta. About a six month trip.

Our long trip this year will start in September. We plan a slow, relaxing journey to Utah. We will stay longer near all the sights, and have a chance to explore more. Utah has the most amazing scenery! Then we will head to Santa Fe for a week as it is a favorite if ours. We will then head towards home, stopping in Sedona for a few days, meeting up with family. We were able to get reservations at Rancho Sedona which is almost impossible anymore. We will take lots of short trips within state . Judy D

Our big trip is Alaska/Canada. We will leave Oklahoma mid-May and work out way to Dawson Creek by mid-June, then follow the ALCAN up. Finally back to OKC beginning of September. Our last 2 nights on the road will be in Stillwater, OK for the Cowboys home opener (hopefully we won't suck this year), where we will die from the heat. All summer will be in the 60's and 70's and it will be (feel like) 175 degrees in the stadium.

We're sticking with south Florida through March. Then, an appointment at Newmar starting April 24, for some repairs and annual maintenance. After that, it's a bit sketchy...maybe Lake Mead area for the winter. We'll update later.
