50ft Water Hose recommendation

I'm looking for recommendations for a collapsible water hose to carry in the motorhome. Does anybody have some practical experience? I might consider the metal clad, maybe.

I’ve never had luck with these expandable hoses. Has this one lasted more than a couple of months?

I have shorter ones and the 50 footer. It's fine but I have had some get pin holes. But they are compact to store.

We have a zero G as well. Drinking water safe and have had it for about 4 years, still holding up.

It is a flush and general purpose hose now since we have one built into the new coach but it has served us well over the years.

I bought a 100’ back in Dec 2020, it is only used while traveling. No holes, no problems with it.

Just looked at my shopping history so I could share it here. This hose isn’t available any more.

Purchased it from Bosnell Hose Outlet on Amazon. Don’t know what their new hoses are like now.

I had looked at the Zero G, I wish I could find a hose with brass fittings.

My vote is the zero G. Drinking water safe is a big thing,even if you're using it as a garden hose!

Things to think about!

I only have hoses larger than half in. ID. No ball valves.

Transferring water as I often do good flow I an important factor.

Zero-G Blue. Drinking water rated.

50' coiled on a cheap extension cord reel. Doe's not take up too much space.

Two points about the Zero-G hose:

I have a grey one and a blue one; both have given a strong rubber-hose taste especially when i the sun. A filter after the hose mostly removes the taste.

Since the hose never dries out unless hung up for days, it can grow mold inside. My blue one has.

I actually don't use them for drinking water so that doesn't matter; just things to be aware of. I use blue Camco 5/8" hoses for drinking water and tank filling.

I tend to camp in colder weather, the blue camco hose went right in the dumpster, impossible to roll up, frozen anaconda
