I grew up in New Mexico we left about seven years ago for a job opportunity. Looking at New Mexico today that was best move we ever made. Albuquerque is mess with no end in sight. Northern NM is beautiful and we still go back often but we avoid Albuquerque as much as possible. Thinking the W&W was Balloon Festival pricing.

Am I out of touch with the present? We we’re charged $400 back home, last year, and I felt grumpy. But $680?????
Are we supposed to TIP? we don’t have enough cash to tip.
And btw, they jacked prices 30% where we are in Santa Fe for the balloon festival in Albuquerque, even though we’re leaving before the festival. 😡. They can get the prices, I guess. park is almost full.
Do you normally tip for washing? We used the same service here a year ago, and the price was more like $400-$450. We were downtown yesterday, and swarmed by beggars and people accosting us to sell things. Not enjoyable at all.
Plus, Bob was out walking on Cerrillos yesterday and saw a 2 white cars tearing around a corner on this 7-lane road, firing shots at each other - he counted 7 until they were out of earshot.
I don’t know if I’d ever come back. We checked out the other well-rated RV park and it was unimpressive - seedy neighborhood (kinda normal for many Rv parks) and it just wasn’t a pretty park. Desert. I don’t get the high ratings. (I admit I’m pretty turned off in general by SF today).
But, back to the topic - tip or no tip? We’re normally generous tippers, but sheesh.
While visiting Santa Fe a couple of years ago we stayed at Santa Fe Skies in the SW part of town. Not as convenient to downtown but a beautiful park.

Good and fair question I generally tip if I know it’s an employee sent to do the work. However, if it’s an owner, small RV wash buzzz, then no tip. We have two people husband and wife that will wash my rig from time to time if I don’t do it. I’m paying them directly I’m not gonna give them a tip on top of their charge.

I have mine (whatever it is that I own at the time) w/w a couple of times while we're on a trip of any time/distance. The last 2-3 years, I've had my 40'-45' motorhome washed & waxed in Pensacola, Orlando, Stuart, and somewhere else, I forget where it was

Generally, price is $300-$400, which I will pay. But at $680, they can take their stuff and go home. It's a convenience to me, not a necessity. And I'm not so lazy that I'll pay anyone almost $700 clams to w/w my rig. Just ain't gonna happen!

Heck man, I've got beer to buy, right? lol

We looked at it, during the day, but at midday, it doesn’t look appealing. Probably better in the evening. We like the trees at Trailer Ranch, but hate the extreme traffic noise (souped up cars gunning it and racing). I doubt we’d stay there again.

I think the same
