Question 92D190V Mystery Switch

Is this some sort of overdrive switch or maybe a defrost switch for the driver's side mirror?

I don't have a manual so I have no clue as to what function this circle D switch is supposed to perform.

That close to the mirror control I’m guessing mirror defrost. When you driving at highway speed press it. You can tell if the over drive turns off.

Thanks. I saw on one thread where folks were talking about an overdrive on/off switch so was wondering if this is one but as you say, co-located with the mirror controls along with an idiot light leans strongly towards being a defrost control for the mirrors.

That button takes the transmission out of overdrive. When lit, it is out.

The switch in question takes the transmission out of overdrive. When the light is lit, it is NOT in overdrive.
