Our 2017 was stricken by the crumbling upholstery syndrome, like so many others of that era. Although up front, the cost to recover the 2 captain's chairs seemed a little steep, upon receiving the kits, it is obvious how much work is involved in making one of these covers. I had never done any upholstery work of this nature, but I plunge into a lot of stuff that seems formidable. The install is not all that bad, but there were a few portions worse than others, but I prevailed and am happy with the outcome. The most nerve-racking is taking a razor blade to the new fabric for making access for certain objects.
There was one hiccup that required me to call Bauer. Their attention and resolution of the situation is how all companies should model their customer service. Quick, to the point, and "we'll take care of it" is all the right stuff.
