My first post. Plz excuse my naivety. I’m on the edge of purchasing a Highland Ridge 16FBS. Stupid question! The trailer has solar panel on roof. A solar panel battery charger in storage compartment. Where is the AC to DC convert or? I’m told it’s in the AC control panel to the left of the entrance door low near the floor. My salesperson tells me the solar panel is the only thing that charges my battery????? I’m also told if you have shore power you have a converter? Allegedly there is a fan in that control panel but I failed to take a picture of the panel so my memory is failing me. Thanks much.

The converter is most likely near the fuse panel. They plug into it with a cord. The fan is in the converter, it generates some heat when high amounts of 12 vdc is being used or the battery is being charged hard. I have not seen a rig that plugs into shore power without one.
