I am joining this site primarily to get information on how to adapt my RV to assist my wife. We have a TT and have been rving for about 25 years. 2 years ago my wife suffered a stroke. It primarily affected her right side. She already had issues with her right knee, but the stroke makes it more severe, as well as making it difficult to sense touch in her foot. Thus, making it difficult for her to climb steps and standing foe shower. We have not camped since her stroke in July, 2021. We miss it and would like to resume camping. So, we’re looking to see if it is even practical to try this, or if there are products available that would alleviate these issues.

Alot depends on your pockets! If you want to stick with a TT you might consider a toy hauler.

As for the shower, much the same options that work at home may work in the bathroom.

The question is loaded! I once made a chair lift for my mother in laws MH that would stay out of the way when not needed. Where the will resides there is likely an answer!!!

I have seen bathroom layouts that would accommodate handicap access, but rarely. The toy hauler idea is great as the ramp can be the access point. I have seen half baths just off the garage. A custom build could transition that to a full bath with ease. I have seen custom layout campers also. Contact the manufacturers directly to see what they can do.
