How many people have actually added a welded basket to the back of you travel trailer to store items in and can you show pictures

Let my response be the picture of my basket.
What I mean is let me tell a story:
In the early 2000's I welded a platform on the back of my 73 Silverliner. I mention the name only because the few who have had this collectors item know how well they pull. As I pulled the trailer down US95 from Quartizite AZ to Yuma AZ a side gust hit me. The tail wagged the dog and almost put us under it. The tires on the truck had a 40 deg angle ground on the tires on the downhill side. What I did was change the wind dynamics of the trailer. The same add on on a 5th wheel would not have been a problem, I am not sure if I would agree to adding such an appendage to a small motorhome for the same reason I would never add one to a pull trailer again.

The manual for my current 83 alpinelite fifth suggest not putting more than 50lbs on the bumper unless you make the frame stronger. I built up the bumper and installed a ball carier so I can double pull a harbor freight 8x4 stake bed trailer. I would suggest a carier on the roof of your hauler.
