Hello. We are planning our first RV trip in the Southwest this September. We need to get from Mesa Verde to Las Vegas for the last part of the trip. We don't want to do a marathon drive (about 7-8) hours. Any suggestions on where to stop to break up the trip? Many thanks!

Plug those two locations into RV Parky and it should give you some good options along your route.

Page Arizona is about 1/2 way to Vegas. We stayed at Lake Powel Campground. Beautiful country. You will also be near Monument Valley(it's not too far out of your way) , Horseshoe Bend (spectacular views). The grand Canyon is a little out of your way but if you had the desire....

Safe travels

I live in Las Vegas and travel to Colorado frequently. There are multiple good options to overnight in Page. We typically stay at the Roam America Horseshoe Bend in Page. That routes you through St George, Utah to get to Las Vegas. The 2nd option is to head to Flagstaff and take I-40 West to Williams, Az. There are multiple RV parks in Williams and it is a good spot to stop if you are interested in seeing the Grand Canyon. The South rim is about 60 miles from Williams.

Wahweap RV park on lake powell is nice and there are some cool attractions in the area as well if you want to spend a down day tripping around.
The drive from Cortez to Page is mostly 2 lane but very beautiful in spots. All Indian Reservation but plenty of little towns for fuel and pee breaks... then up through St George and down to Vegas for the second leg.

Pretty country.
