Air Conditioner Problems

I have a 2024 Entegra Ethos 20T. I live in Las Vegas and camp in mostly hot temperature.When it is over 90 my unit will no longer cool. I have had it into the dealer 4 times with no luck. They say that is how th manufacture has it set up. Has anyone else had this problem?

Unfortunately, if you're in direct sun on 90°+ days a 13.5k btu rooftop a/c will likely struggle in the late afternoon hrs. to cool even a class B. Just to be sure though I'd check the temp of the cooled air coming from the plenum. The air coming out should be 16-22° cooler than the air going in (return air).
Insulating the glass, especially the windshield and any glass facing West may help.

Best bet is that shade, and install another AC in one of the vent holes. It is probably prewired and you can get wireless bluetooth controls for a thermostat or ceiling operated button and knobs.

So you camp, or is it RV?

If you don't boondock, then replacing the cloth awning with sun shade cloth will help.

Using high pressure misters under the awning will to.

If you actually move your rig the roof shade may be more work than what it's worth.

Mounting solar panels above the A/C units over the entire rooftop would offer a solution.

Shade is more effective than insulation ever will be.

More AC??? Look, you're driving a stinking greenhouse down the road. Where it's not glass,the "insulation" is a semi-solid,, and at Best 2" thick.

Over the last two years I have listened to a bunch of people complaining about unreliable electric issues in parks across the country. It's not the parks, it's the grid! Brown outs are common, and more equipment is only going to make things worse. Deal with it the smart way.
