Aluminum or wood with "rubber" coatings out side on TT?

Pros and cons of each, including repair ease/cost. I see a lot of both

What I am looking at is the outside composition of RV. I am looking for whether the aluminum "siding" for lack of the proper vernacular or the "rubber/plastic" coating is better for wear and/or repair.
Obviously fiberglas is better... but...

Aluminum dents but doesn't delaminate like many of the plastic sides do.

My 83 aluminum sided fifth wheel, has dents but still looks better than many of the fiberglass rigs going down the roads.

Although I want to believe some of those seriously delaminated plastic failures are safe going down the road, I do wonder.
