Attaching Kayak options

We love to use a hardshell Kayak and wondered if anyone has found a way to attach a kayak 2025 Z model?

I've seen them lashed to rear roof ladders.

If you go that route consider pipe insulation on the ladder to protect both surfaces.

We looked at doing that and the kayak was still almost 3' above the roof (10' kayak). Considering the wind resistance we decided that was too much force on the ladder so we use a roof rack on top of my bed topper.
