Auto or On?

When using your air conditioner, do you leave the fan running (on position) or let it cycle (auto) when the compressor kicks on? We like to leave the fan ON when we're in a noisy RV park as it creates a "white noise" for the dogs. Also helps me sleep as l don't wake up every time the AC kicks on. Aside from that, any benefits?

If we don't need all the units running to stay cool/warm we turn off the unit in the BR and turn on the most distant unit at night to help reduce the noise.

The circulating air means more mixing of the air and therefore, more consistent air temperatures. The circulation also equates to more even temperatures around the thermostat, reducing hot/cold areas around the misplaced thermostat. I typically do not use the AC fan for this action. I have a desktop fan or even a smaller one, which negates your desire for white noise. In my case I have the fan pointed directly at a thermostat.

In hot weather, our bedroom unit will be in the on position overnight.

I leave mine in AUTO.

I also use auto. You need an RV air conditioner to ensure your RVing experience isn’t a hellish nightmare during those summer months.

I leave it in "Auto", in both the bedroom & living room.
Found that, in our coach, setting the thermostat 1 or 2 degrees warmer, will keep the coach closer to the desired temperature setting!

We typically opt for Auto, except on the rare occasion, as someone mentioned above, when we need some white noise.
