I stared at all these different systems for a while for my 2018 Ram crew cab dually. I got under the truck and looked at removing the filler and cutting it to put in a tee with a line and decided it wasn't for me. Then I read on the Cummins forum where another Ram owner had done this, went in to the dealer under warranty with engine problems and they blamed metal shavings from the filler neck and voided his warranty.
I was still under warranty so I just gave up on the idea after that.
I bought a 60 gallon RDS tank/toolbox with a pump and normal filler hose. All I had to do was run a wire to the battery for power to operate the pump. Around $1300 back in 2019, like this
