Ivan and karren currently staying at venture out mesa. Heading to Alberquerque soon. What is a good safe route other than I-17 without crazy switchbacks for our 5th wheel?

Not sure but welcome aboard!

Obviously I-17 up to I-40 is your most direct route, however there are some US-Routes and State Routes cutting east across the reservations that would be okay also if you want to avoid I-17 for some reason.

The only thing a little different about this year when getting off the interstates or major roadways is making sure there is diesel available, or gas if that is what you need.

Our normal winter route is I-10 to Deming, Hyw 26 (aka Hatch Bypass) to Hatch, then I-25 to Alberquerque.

Safe Travels.
