Not sure what unit you are towing, but for our TT, I purchased both the Furrion and Haloview BT-7 with side marker cameras products. My TT was pre-wired for the Furrion product, but the BT-7 was easily wired (for power) on my unit. The cameras are wirelessly transmitting the signal using antennas. From the rear of TT to the dash of my vehicle is about 34'. I have only experienced 2 disconnecting issues and 1 screen freeze with about 1,000 miles so far. Hope this helps!
