Hi all, have a NewMar Bay Star, 2021, when I use the signal light to change lanes, after about 5 seconds, the backup monitor starts to DING. I have look thru everything I can find on the VOM 718 monitor but I can not for the life of me find out how to cancel this DINGING, it is driving me dingy. Anyone have a solution?
This is our first Class A, so kinda new to all this stuff.

Ours ding after the turn signal is on for a while. I thought it was a “reminder” so you turn it off.

Mine drives me crazy but I don't know how to get it to stop. Silence is golden.

The chime comes from the Ford chassis not the backup monitor. There is what is called a smart module, if I recall correctly. It should be located just to the right of the accelerator pedal, kind of wedged in between the pedal bracket and the doghouse. I am not sure what if any other function it preforms beside the turn signal (annoying) chime. You can mute it somewhat by covering the small hole in the pezio sounder with electrical tape or similar.

Thanks Steve. I had a closer listen and the ding is coming from where you said it would be. Now all I have to do is figure out how to contort the old 66 year old body to get down there for a better look. Thanks again.

John,
If you figure out a good way to make the body fit in that space let me know, just spent some under there. I already feel the pain!

I may need your advice on how to get out, stay tuned.
