I want to remove my battery from RV for winter which is connected to a solar panel. Will solar panel be damaged when there is no battery attached

If there is no circuit it shouldn't hurt anything. A cutoff switch is preferred to safely break a circuit but as long as you protect the connectors so they cannot create a circuit or ground you should be fine. But ask why you really need to remove a battery.

On a related note: if the only thing running off the battery are the radio and to CO detector, I don’t need to worry about battery drain if there’s a solar panel attached?

Pretty much. What year? If it’s recent and has a disconnect you can just use the disconnect to isolate the rest of the unit.
Keep the panel clean of snow and you are good to go. Check the battery voltage from time to time.

It’s a ‘22. What would the disconnect look like?

I want to use the battery in another RV which we drive to Florida for the winter

No need as long as the panel is getting sunlight to keep a charge. It acts somewhat as a trickle charger IMO. I have never disconnected a battery to remove from our campers and never a issue. I can see this if one parks their camper under a cover where sunlight could not hit a solar panel to keep the battery maintained or the camper has no solar panels and the battery is just that, alone in the fight. Then yes, I would place on a trickle unit.

Others may have their opinion and disagree with my way, but I have always been fine or just lucky…..lol
