Looking for a way to boost tv selection
Only have tv and antenna for basic channels now
Reception not good half the time
We have a roku too
Would like to catch up on local and world news once in awhile
Any ideas?

Well worst case you could subscribe to one of those channels. Cost is not too great. Most around $5 to $7 a month I think.
Why pay for one of those when you get get so much for free ? Your Roku does have several World News channel's you can watch for free. For local try "News ON " and so many others.
Just go to Roku and look at your account page . Look at the manage account section and it has a link to the channel store. Search for news and you'll get a ton of them. Local , national and international.

If you want better OTA reception (if you have a bat wing antenna) is to replace it with a King antenna. THIS is the one I have and it works way better. Simple to change out too. Unhook the coax, pull two pins and put two pins in and hook up the coax. Your ROKU uses the internet.
