For those that use RV Trip Wizard and have a class A big rig, do you use the Big Rig Access filter? I typically do but wonder if it's filtering out viable campgrounds I should be searching?

We don’t have a Class A but do have a 45’ coach and for a few years pulled a trailer, so we were always looking for big rig access.
We usually use the filter for Big Rig Access but have turned it off a few times when the selection in the area was too limited. I am trying to recall where it happened but we did once find a campground that easily accommodated the coach and trailer even though the campground was not tagged as being Big Rig friendly.
Have also had the opposite scenario too, where they claimed to be Big Rig friendly but when I looked at the satellite realized that their definition of Big Rig Access must have included a shoe horn.
Short version - search without the filter if you aren’t happy with the results and double check with satellite photos if you believe you can maneuver your rig through the campground.
Interested to see if others have seen the exceptions too.

I use Trip Wizard extremely in developing my trips. I hate to say it but I haven't seen this Big Rig Access filter, but I did enter my coach information in the RV section. I will look for it today as I'm working on a 2026 East coast trip now. I do use Google Earth to check fuel stops and campground during development. I use RV Life campground reviews a lot reading the overall campground information and some users reviews. I also check Google Earth the night before traveling to be sure where truck entrances are located and what the campground entrance looks like.

The filter will filter out places that are not marked as big rig friendly. However, this is user supplied data. If a user said the place is not big rig friendly it may be just because they were not comfortable driving their rig in the campground that does not necessarily mean you won't fit. The other issue is that "big rig" means different things to different people. There is no enforced standard (larger than 40 foot) that I am aware of.

It comes down to where you like to stay. If you prefer the concrete parking lots of rv resorts then you are pretty safe in assuming they can accommodate you. We like to be off the beaten path and in the woods if possible so we stay at a lot of state parks, country parks, and COE campgrounds. For those I have to go to the registration and filter available sites by size to see if they have any that will accommodate my 40 foot rig. If they do, I consider it big rig friendly enough.

TLDR: Turn that filter off you are missing some fantastic places to stay.
