Black and Gray Tank Drains

I just bought a 16 Mesa Ridge 340flr and the control center shows it has 2 black and 2 gray tanks. Google insists that there is 2 drains for each. I can only find one valve for each. Are they both drained thru the single valve?

Not sure if this 2017 model reference is accurate, but only one of gray, one of black tank is specified, Supposedly introduced in 2016, would expect yours to be same spec. If you can get a look underneath, such tanks are not easy to conceal..

It’s a 4 seasons unit with a a completely enclosed underbelly. Makes them much easier to conceal.

I would have years ago likely said that it is too bad that you can’t just look up under there, but we both would understand that the combination of not being exposed to road hazards / rodent attack along with whatever thermal insulation benefit is achieved in cold weather is a great thing for usability.

I looked at a fifth wheel camper once that had a forward main bathroom and a rear kitchen. The kitchen drained into its own separate grey tank and had a separate valve and port back way there, distant from the main grey tank and black tank drain connection. That was an undesirable extra "get in the truck and move again for the second dump" situation for the short hose I like to use when at a dump station.

If you do have two tanks of each type and the drain lines come to just a one-stop port with the two valves to release black, then grey, they did it just right!

I did some more googling and it seem that it does indeed have one of each tank. Some of the other units must have 2 because the control center shows 2 available for each.

Good work! Maybe they used the two x two waste tank control center across all models due to some model built or planned with a split arrangement like that rear kitchen one I saw. Or maybe they got a big quantity of two x two tank control centers from the control center manufacturer saying “If you would consider using our two x two tank control center, we could send you 200 of them from a cancellation by another coach builder and cut your bulk buy cost to a quarter of the cost for the one x two control center units that you asked for”.

Don't believe your control center, mine says the same thing, and I can assure you, I do not have two of each. I've asked if their is a way to make it show the truth, and there isn't. If there is, no one seems to have found it yet.
