New to motorhomes (come from horse trailer with gas/elec frig), we purchased a 2022 Ghost. It has a residential refrigerator, 2 batteries, solar and a generator. Questions is how long should the 2 batteries last fully charged and only running the frig? How much longer will an other battery increase the time? Thanks in advance.

So! Look up the EPA energy rating for the fridge. That gives annual energy requirements for the fridge (your mileage may vary). Divide that number by 365. That will be the estimated watts a day! Then Divide your answer by 12, twelve is the battery voltage! You now have amp hours per day. Using lead Divide 1/2 battery capacity by the amp hours you calculated, and that is the estimated number of hours you can expect in a perfect world.

My fridge runs on propane when away from shore power. Saves the battery power.

We just purchased a 2024 Ghost and put 2 x lithium batteries in it and added a 2d solar panel. Still experimenting but have run the fridge, lights, inverter, in line water heater, water pump, TV and a couple cups of coffee over 2 sunny days without needing an additional charge. My wife used her curling iron in and that took out the rest of the remaining power. I'll let you know how things go as we continue to experiment.

And it should!!! The heating element on your refrigerator is what makes your refrigerator a bad fit for solar!

Thanks, not sure if my reply last week or so went. We sold our Ghost as the generator did not have auto start when the batteries got too low (was told it did) we purchased a Dynamax 30FW with the Explorer package (800 watt solar and 4 lithium batteries) much better with the residential frig, watching TV and coffee maker we have gone 3 days without charging (moved to new location)
