I have a 2017 Imagine. I'm at the point of needing to replace the breaks. I am looking at replacing the entire brake assembly and drums. My options seem to be to either order parts directly from Lippert at a higher price and wait 7 to 10+ days on shipping or buy after market parts (made in China) locally. Has anyone had experience with the after market products, good or bad?

I usually replace them with short episodes of productivity

On my past fifth wheels, I treated them as expendables, wheel bearings every year, brakes every other year, always bought the complete units, plug and play, easy peasy

That’s what I did too on a 2015 fifth wheel. Complete units, but not drums, from Napa. In my case just the magnets were bad but it was a lot less hassle to just replace the complete assembly and not much more expensive.

On my Montana 3610 I put Disc brakes on it. Talk about an upgrade! The electric brakes are available as bolt-on backing plates and all, makes the job a whole lot easier. And not very expensive.

Buying directly from Lippert, you're almost gauranteed the parts are from China. Common off the shelf brake parts from your neighborhood auto parts jobber are available now and will have been made in the US, Mexico or Canada.
