Hi, my name is Mark I'm new to this site , but I have a new 2026 Coachmen Beyond 22 RB , and my dog decided to go through the passenger side retractable screen door to chase a squirrel and knocked door off the track as well as snapped the tension chord on bottom track. Not sure if anyone has had a similar problem or can even suggest who to contact. Oh and of course the squirrel got away unphased .

Sorry you have this issue.

If you know the door manufacturer, that’s where to start. Coachman should be able to help with this if you don’t know.
I suggest email the CS rep for Beyond. You can find the info on the web site. Good luck.
I doubt if you can find parts out there, going to the manufacturer I think will be best.

Welcome aboard! I'm sorry, I can't help you with your screen door problem but I can relate to your squirrel problem. We have a three year old miniature poodle that thinks squirrels, gophers, lizards, ducks, bunny's and lots of birds are her friends. She will lunge against the door or a window wagging her tail, barking her head off trying to get to her "playmates". :) We are hoping she will settle down in time.

Safe travels

Hi Mark, I supply screen repair materials for RV,s including new sliding screens and retractables. If you can post some pictures of your retractable screen I will look into who the manufacturer might be. Most RV companies don't make their own.

Hi Mark, we had similar problems with our side door screen on our 2022 Coachmen Beyond 22 D. The bottom cord frayed and the screen started to collapse. Luckily, the strings were still intact so, we carefully replaced the frayed string by threading a similar size/weight string ,using a large needle , through the same holes of the old string. We had to unscrew the screen frame as part of the process. First step was to take photos of the frame and strings. The repair was a tedious process but, the screen is functional today. We rarely use it, saving its use for extremely hot days. We are still in the process of looking for a replacement screen because we believe another repair is in our future. Side note, our poodle, who is no longer with us, never ran through the screen.
