Broken shower faucet

My wife and I took our maiden voyage this weekend on our new to us class C. Although we had a good time, a few things didn't go as planned. First, our rooftop as gave up the ghost in 90 degree heat, and our shower faucet broke. My question is, are all shower faucets the same size? This unit is 24 years old, and I highly doubt I'll be able to find the same faucet to replace it. Thanks for the incite

Take a couple of pictures of the fixture and head to your local hardware store. They should be able to come up with something close.
