Is this a first rig or first Deisel pusher for you? Hope you are getting a really super good deal. Which model are you getting? Depreciation on this rig will be brutal. Take a look at what they are listing for on sites like RV Trader. Note how long some of them are listed for. Note how many 5-year-old or newer rigs are for sale. I would request new batteries. Not only from age but you know they had a hard life going dead multiple times. Tires, air bags, belts and hoses aging are also aging out. Get the data form the engine, operating and idle hours. Have you done your homework on this rigs power train and towing limitations? Yes, it has a 10,000 pound hitch. Due to the limited 2500 series transmission and 6.7L @ only 340 HP, Gross Combined Weight rating is only 33,000 pounds. The 38W model Gross Vehicle Weight rating is 29,410 pounds. This can leave as little as 3,590 pounds for towing. The smaller models have more towing capacity. Only has a 6KW generator. Hopefully the generator is Deisel and not propane. 4 group 31 house batteries, very poor choice. With the residential fridge you will need the generator a lot for non hookup camping. Plan on a Lithium upgrade. XCS Straight rail chassis. Lowest cost chassis and rails will block some of the basement storage. Not trying to be a spoiler. Just raising awareness that this is an entry level DP that has some limitations.
