Cant get hood open! (2015 Newmar Baystar Sport) newbie….

Hi all, I was on my maiden voyage and wanted to check my fluids etc. I pulled the latch inside the cab, but it didnt unclick, no noise. I got under the RV to try and figure out where the latch was, but couldnt find it. Anyone have a similar experience or knowledge on how to get it open?

Yank the inside handle hard and quick. My Bay Star isdifficult if yiu pull steadily. But a quick firm yank does it every time.

On mine the latch under the hood is in the middle. You have to crawl under it to reach it.

On mine the latch is at the bottom of the hood door. It is a reach from underneath.

It helps with 4 hands.

Pull the latch while someone pushes on the hood and releases.

Then adjust the catch.

Thanks everyone. I finally got it open! Tried the quick pull a few times (then came off the holder…tightened the nut) and heard a click. Then I WD40’d everything! Thanks again. Its a learning experience!

It shouldn't be that hard.Many times I was waiting for the handle to come off in my hand.
