So my family just purchased a 2008 holiday rambler scepter. It’s a beautiful coach. When they are not using it my wife, newborn and I may make a few trips. I’m curious as I have been unable to find any place to place a car seat. The dining chairs and recliner are not fixed to the floor. Only other seating is the couch/pullout. Where do people safely mount car seats in class a motor homes?

There is no place in a motorhome
to properly attach a car seat using a latch system.

Your best bet is going to be any location with lap belts. Most car seats can be mounted with lap belts and have a process for that, but you won’t be finding any LATCH system hardware anywhere in an RV.

It appears to me at first glance the only spots with lap belts are the driver and passenger seat.
If you have a sofa, there are often lap belts there, though they may have fallen through the cracks and ended up on the floor.

If not, ratchet straps is all I can come up with.

Awesome I will look at it in more detail! Thank you for the info. Seems strange only two passengers could ride a 40’ coach.

Honestly, RVs have so little safety structure that if you’re in an accident severe enough that you’d want seatbelts in a normal vehicle, you probably don’t want them in an RV, the hope being that not having a seat belt will allow you to be thrown clear of the entire house that is about to come crashing down on top of you.

My 2006 Holiday Rambler Ambassador has car seat anchors built into one of the couches. (we have two) If yours has a recliner instead that may be why you can't find them. I had to reach down behind the cushions to find ours.
