Hi folks. We recently sold our Motorhome and will eventually be replacing it with a little teardrop trailer and mid size SUV. Our Motorhome genny was our home emergency back up power plant for critical house loads. Fridge etc. Anyway we decided to get a small portable genny to act as emergency backup. We have had bad luck with Hondas so we took a chance on the Champion 3400 Dual fuel. 59 DB on eco. We have put it through it’s paces and I can give it a thumbs up. We don’t need one for camping but it would probably do well in that role. You are supposed to exercise it with a variable load do we just use our Tesla as we can adjust the load from 8 to 24 amps on the Tesla control panel. We run it for 10 or 15 minutes every months or so. Heavy at 100 pounds but an easy two person lift. Good sized wheels and a handle. Has a TT30 receptacle on the front as well as standard 20 amp receptacles and of course 12 volts. Here’s a few pics. We use only propane so no gas storage or maintenance issues.
