In what?

We have a 2020 Keystone Alpine
We currently have a king size in the bedroom. We want to remove the built in base and replace it with our adjustable base and use the existing mattress. The bed is in a slide out. We are permanently parked and living full time.

No knowledge of your specific rig, but in my experience the under bed is rarely structural, but is either storage and/or hides some electrical or mechanical components of the rv. If in a slide, slide motors and wiring are possibly under there. We did just the opposite of your idea, we added an RV adjustable base to sit on the existing bed box with storage in it, and added our Sleep number mattress from home when we went full time. Bottom line is its possible, but would likely take some modifications or potentially re-routing some things.

That’s what we have- a sleep number that we want to use.

Has anyone tried to remove the built in bed frame and replace it with a regular bed frame?
Yes! Getting rid of that easy view system is a must!! We have the first fully adjustable beds for RVs! As long as the deck is sufficient plywood. The beds sit directly on your storage, ready to go. Upgrade the gas lift shocks on the lid to help access. But we have them ready to go!!!
