Charger

I have a2011 coachman vip. The battery charger is broken. Do I need to replace with the same one or can I fit a different make.

Do you mean the converter? And yes, brand does not matter. I would put in at least the same Amp rating as the old one.

Welcome to the group. When you say charger I guess you are talking about the converter. I am not the best to give advice on this, some thing I need to study more. I believe you need to replace to the same specs as what you have now. You will be connecting to the same wiring in the rig.

Only time I didn't replace (upgrade) with something better (three stage converter), was when I did the job for someone else.

Then having been a fabricator for years might be the reason for that.
