Charging line for toad.

I have a 2020 forest river class C. Mercedes engine and sprinter chassis. When I tow my 2020 jeep Cherokee, the battery goes dead, I need help running a charging Line from the motor home to the toad.

Most 7 pin connectors that hook up your break lights and turn signals have the ability to charge the towed vehicle when wired properly. Did you have the tow gear installed by a shop?

@JDC It will help us help you if you can tell us what connector you have on your Class C and what connector you have on your toad. Class C may be a 7 pin or ?? and toad could be one of several, 7 pin, 6 pin, 4 pin etc. Do you have a volt meter or 12V test light that you can use? Once we know the connector configuration and your ability to test we can provide some input on a solution. This is a relatively simple modification but we will need to know what you have to start with. Pictures are always nice if you are able to post one of each connector that shows the contacts that would be a bonus.

you can also look into a roof rack mounted solar panel that will charge the Cherokee whether it is in tow or not. works as a trickle charger to keep the vehicle charged, there a dozens of youtube videos on how to do it for under $500.
