This happened near the Foretravel plant in Nacogdoches, TX—accolades to the truck driver.

Can’t find words. Better left in my head.

Yeah, that should be good for an instant 5 year license suspension.
I'm hopeful the truck had a dash cam and captured a license plate. The good thing was there was no contact and I don't think they fine stupidity.

Unbelievable! I recently spent a few days hanging out at a Freightliner repair shop, and there were lots of truck drivers to chat with. There is little love lost by most of them for people who drive 55K lb. vehicles and weren't required to prove they can do it safely. And this shows exactly why they feel that way.

Don’t think that would help. I hit a licensed car driver in my youth. She did exactly the same thing, except she was just over a hill. When I saw her it was too late. She was sitting across my lane looking the other way. There was a car just behind me on the right. There was no where for me to go. Sometimes there is no cure for folks like this.

What a poor choice. When I'm towing my trailer, I always try to find an alternate route rather than crossing or turning left onto a divided highway like this.

Amazing that the truck could stop - bet he needs new tires now.
