Question Chipping an 06 i5 sprinter

Id like some advice from someone whos been there regarding doing a performance chip install on my 06 mercedes sprinter. Id like to enhance my towing ability some but dont want to do any damage to anything. If I could get another 20 or so horses out of it would be plentyt. Thank you
