I currently have a 30 foot class C but was wanting to upgrade to a larger class A. I'm looking at a 35 foot Class Thor. 2023. What is experience with driving with that engine right under driver seat ?

Our 2019 Holiday Rambler 35K Vacationer is plenty loud at 70 on the highway. Not so bad at 55 on side roads. It has a V10 Ford, very common.

We had a 2011 Winnebago Vista with the V10 but only a 5 speed trans. It was a little loud if the RPM neared 4000 or over which was not uncommon. We now have a 2019 Jayco Precept with the 6 speed trans and, I believe, a little more insulation on the dog house. We very rarely hit 4000 RPM with it but still quieter than the Vista. Our travel 'sweet spot" is around 65 MPH and the engine sits at around 2200 RPM. Very quiet.

The need for lots of insulation which you will likely have to do yourself. Heat and noise will loom large, otherwise. My 2016 is well insulated, so for a front engine gas it's not at all bad.

My coach is very quiet the majority of the time as far as the engine noise is concerned.

Normal cruising at 65-67 conversation is very easy at normal speaking volume, easy to hear the GPS and radio.

Only time it gets what I would call loud is during climbs, descents, and very heavy acceleration.
