If you ever get the chance you need to check out this organization. They keep all the old war planes running / flying. Do shows at various places around the country throughout the year.

Nice one to support.

Had the chance to see them in June of 2014 at a Harley rally in the Cincinnati / Dayton area in Ohio. Had to melt the credit card for a ride on the P51 Mustang they had available.

Sitting where the spare fuel tank used to be (not much room but sitting on the parachute made it pretty comfortable).

During the flight we did barrel rolls and other maneuvers which was pretty cool.

The simulated strafing run was a real hoot - at the end of this we went straight up :oops:


Well worth the cost and would do it again in a heartbeat!
