I do a lot of dry camping and boondocking and prefer not to run a generator unless I absolutely have too.
My current set up involves four 6 volt batteries and 200 watts solar.
I don't have enough space nor do I want all the weight of four 6 volts on my tongue. Currently I have two of the batteries on the tongue and I stow the other two in the trailer while in tow, when we arrive at our destination I connect the other two via Anderson plug.
My goal is to clean up some of the cables and wires at my batteries. Because I run 6 volts I have to run two pairs of batteries in a series to make two large 12 volts. I then have the cables coming in from the solar panels, a pig tail to connect the other two batteries, and then power supply cables to the trailer. Some of the terminals have 3 cables attached, Are there any suggestions I cleaning up or simplifying this set up?
Thanks
Brian
