Cummins trip again

Returned from our trip with engine light on an Amber. diagnostic codes of 3216 FMI four and 10. Called Spartan and they said Nox sensor again. White cloud of vapor exhausted from and around DEF compartment. Recommended taking it to Cummings. Last trip to Cummings cost Cummings $20,000 because they backed my rig into their Dyno. . Not looking forward to doing this again

Where are you in Ca? The major Freightliner shops work on “all makes”, they have more reasonable rates, and the shops I’ve dealt with were honest. Both of those FMIs indicate a bad NOX sensor or wiring and that is not specific to Spartan. It is going to be a Cummins component but FL works on plenty of those. So you aren’t stuck with Cummins.
