We are starting to plan a cross country. We are not in any hurry, but don’t want to take forever either. on days you travel what distances / rules do you have?

We generally travel approximately 250 miles a day. We will be leaving FL heading to AZ later this month and am planning 6 days which we will see how we hold up?

250-300 miles a day. My cruising speed is 65 mph limited by the Honda CRV max recommended towing speed.

A lot depends on the topography & roads. If I can get somewhere between 200 - 300 miles a day, I'm happy. There is a lot to see & do going cross country. Enjoy the ride.
Safe travels!

5 - 6 hours. Never sure how far that's going to be, but after six hours my rear end says find a place and "STOP" ?

I plan out my trips in 300 mile legs. That's about 6 hours of travel. I usually stay at the first CG one night and each campground after 2 days or more. I can't do 300 miles days one after another, wears me out. I allow plenty of time to get where I'm going.

Wow! I don't know. I might go 600 miles or 50 depending on a lot of things. For the first time this year I am thinking of finding all the little things as I move about. I'm thinking about 200 miles a month or so. Going straight as I can Up from Yuma AZ to WYO. and back down.

Because I don't really plan that could all change with the drop of a pin, we will see.

I regularly do 400-500 miles a day. In those leather captain's chairs floating on 10 air bags it's EZ!! I have done over 1000 miles in 24 hours on a motorcycle more than once. I led a group of 25 motorcycles from Chattanooga, TN to the Grand Canyon in 3 days. We did 600 miles per day. I thought that was EZ but some of the newer riders were exhausted and complained. But it was an 1800 mile trip so we had to get on with it! Travelling in the coach is a breeze in comparison.
